The FIRGIRTEE is a golf playing aid designed and created to assist high handicap golfers with their alignment at address. It offers golfers a way to confidently select a target line, while simultaneously providing them with a way to square the body, and the clubface to that target line. You can swing freely, knowing that you're going to hit more fairways (FIR) and greens in regulation (GIR). Two statistics we're all trying to improve.
This product isn’t for everyone, in fact it works best for golfers that struggle with their alignment from the tee box, fairways and on the putting greens. Maybe you can hit the ball ok, but you don’t necessarily know which direction it will go everytime. This tool helps check all the boxes at address so that you just need to think about your swing. Although this tool will not improve your golf swing, it will improve your alighnment. If the golf ball leaves the clubface in the direction you intend it to travel, then it has a higher percentage chance of landing from a playable position. As amature golfers, we loose strokes on drops or lost balls. This tool helps makemore predictable shots, and it might even save you a couple of balls a round.
Break 90 three times, on three different courses. That's with no breakfast balls, no mulligans, no gimme putts, and maybe the hardest part, no beer. Ok, limited beer. That was the goal that lead to the development of FIRGIRTEE. This tool makes golf more fun by removing one step in the process of hitting a golf ball, and that's aiming and aligning the body with the clubface. There is no other playing aid that compairs to the FIRGIRTEE's simplicity, or that can provide similar result to improving your alignment on the golf course from tee to green.
Once you purchase or recieve the FIRGIRTEE, cut the ziptie securing it to the packaging. Before placing it in the ground, select a tee of your choice. Most wooden and plastic tee's are compatible with the FIRGIRTEE, as are most brush tee's. Cross tee's can damage this product and are not recomended.
Use the FIRGIRTEE to set the tee hight if you are using a driver, fairway wood or a hybrid club from the tee box. Put the tee in the ground and aim the arrow in the direction you want the ball to start on. The clubface should be square to the tool as seen above. You can then stand behind the ball to make sure you still like the line. This is a measure twice and cut once type of an approach to setting up to the ball.
With the target line selected, address the ball and square your shoulders, and your hips to the club face. Now that your aligned to the target, and your clubface is square to your body and the ball, you can make a confident swing.
When playing from the tee box with an iron, place your FIRGIRTEE about 8 to 10 inches behind the ball as pictured above. Use it to select a target line the same way you do from the tee box with your woods. Squre your body and the clubface to the FIRGIRTEE like you did with your driver and swing away.
PROTIP: Play with the distance you place the FIRGIRTEE behind the ball with your irons. Some players put it one or two iches behind the ball, because they feel it helps them swing down to promote hitting ball then grass.
With iron's from the fairway you want to place the FIRGIRTEE behind the ball around 8 to 10 inches like you would on the tee box with an iron. Repeat the alignment process and swing for the upper deck. You can also use the FIRGIRTEE when your lining up your put. Place it directly behind the ball on the green with the flat side closest to the ball, and choose the line you want to start the roll on. Then just place your putter directly ontop of the FIRGIRTEE when your over the ball. Square the clubface with the wings and then make your putting stroke.
Select the tee position in the FIRGIRTEE that suits your eyes best. If you like the clubface near the ball at address, then push the tee in the hole closets to the middle of the FIRGIRTEE.
If you like starting with the clubface away from the ball at address, then push your tee towards the flat edge of the tool. This is a players option, so test it out and see which one works best for you and let us know. We'd love your feedback.
Above is an image of the first ever FIRGIRTEE prototype. If it looks at all like a childrens toy to you that's because it is. While playing with his youngest daughter the owner of FIRGIRTEE GOLF, Enzo Chiovitti Jr., got the idea of a golf aid from this very toy. There is not much of a resemblance between these two items anymore, but they yielded similar results through testing.
The first true working prototype was created via a CAD design and then a few 3D printed parts. Thin wooden tees would just barely fit into the plastic sample parts, and although they worked they would shatter when hit by the club. Besides bits of plastic flying everywhere and making a mess on the range and course, there were plenty of other issues with the first few designs. A major oversight was the visual difference at address for a golfer at 5.5' vs. 6.5'. It was a step-at-a-time process, and sometimes two step backwards before any real traction was made.
The wings used to align the club face with the first designs were too small see when using woods, and multiple plastics and high density foam prototypes were also failing through testing. There was no way to use the tool in the fairway or with irons from the tee box either. At one point the FIRGIRTEE was a two peice design but over a few short months plenty changed. The material, longer wings were added, two holes for the tee position, and a one peice driver and iron friendly design was beginning to take shape.
Once a good one piece design for woods and irons was established, all that remained was solving the durability issue. Clubs were destroying all the different plastic prototypes, and the foam prototypes were only maginally better. Eventually rubber made the FIRGIRTEE resiliant enough to not only the clubs forces, but to the eliments as well. The product would need to be resilient to mud and water for sure. Places we amatures find our balls far too often.
The first 100 balls tested were hit in the backyard of a friends house into an open field, and after that a few tousand more at the driving range. Eventually more people were trying it on the range and on the course with amazing results. It was time to make a push, and that meant the priority would need to shift from protopypes and testing, to manufacturing.
With over a thousand amature golfers trying the FIRGIRTEE before opening shop, and each of those golfers finding more fairways and greens in regulation, it is time to make FIRGIRTEE available to the world. Our greatest sucess comes from word of mouth. Try it for yourself and let us know how it works for you. From everyone at FIRGIRTEE Golf, may all your fairways be wide, your hazrds be few, and your greens be slow and reseptive.
"I honestly can't believe this thing works as well as it does. I seem to make a small adjustment everytime I stand over it, but I trust it and the ball goes where it should. Downside is I've lost three in just a few weeks, so making it white with blacks stripes in the future is my two cents."
"I've told my girlfriends forever that I would be amazing if I just new how to aim. My husbad got a sample FIRGIRTEE at the driving range and told me it would 'change my life'. So finally after 23 years together I can say he was right about something."
"I tried it on the 17th hole after having an aweful round, and I made my second par for the day and even used it to putt. It wasn't mine and I didn't want to ask to use it on 18, but I just wanted to see if it was a fluke. I waited for the end of the round to ask the guy where to get it or what it was called. I use it everytime I play now, and I don't mind sharing it."
"I would do my typical routine to address the ball, look down with the FIRGIRTEE there and notice either the club face or my body, or both were not what I was expecting to see. I had no idea how much such a tiny change in alignment would impact my score. I've shot mid 80 or better since using it, and I lived in the low to mid 90's for about ten years. My only complaint is I couldn't tee it low enough for my irons."
"I'm a scratch golfer and tested it for fun while at the range, and after one shot I started using it to help me shape shots. I use it outside of tournaments when playing practice rounds almost all the time now."
"I like it for two reasons. It's super easy to use, and it works. It didn't do much to improve my swing, I still chunk and thin a lot of shots. I just miss a lot more in a straight line now. Thinning a shot 45 degrees right of target is never a good thing. Thinning it and running it up to the green is not as bad, and I don't care how pretty it is if it drops in."

The product is designed to help high handicappers, but players of all skill level can use the FIRGIRTEE. Lower handicap golfers typically use it as a training aid, rather than a playing aid.
No. Unless your talking about non-sanctioned competition, and in that caseyou should absolutly go for it.
We suggest you keep it in your pocket, but the dash of the golf cart is a lovely location as well. It is up to you ultimately, but we've left more behind in the cart over the years than on the tee box or greens.
Yes. You can request a custom design and colors, but this is only possible via email request.
Although the FIRGIRTEE can retain its form after impacts from clubs, we strungly suggest not folding it away when storing it between uses.
